INDUCTION KIT/STAINLESS EXHAUST

Hi All,
I am wondering if it is worth replacing the airbox  on my Cossie with an induction kit as i am considering replacing the exhaust with a stainless one in the near future. Is it likely to be more trouble than it is worth or a good power boost?
Paul.

I don't know about the intake, but the exhaust is very restrictive.

Have a look at this HERE

Thanks for the reply,
I have actually been down to Powercraft today as i live less than a mile away from them down here in Devon.
Gonna check the car out first to see if it is worth spending money on as all things Cossie don't come cheap!

there was a big debate a while ago about doing the filter conversion.

many mixed replies but on the whole it's a user decision. if i remember correctly it didnt really make that much improvement on the cossie as there already designed to help the air flow...

Intake tuning kits don't normally net much, about 2-3% added to peak bhp at high rpm from what I've looked at...if you get 5%, you've done well I guess Roll Eyes

To make a real difference you'd need redesigned throttle body, intake manifold etc...

Exhaust system governs more with the performance of the engine, as has been said many times before, the original ones are very restrictive. I once had a chap try and convince me that I could get 175bhp out of my 2.3 if I got a performance exhaust kit....I wasn't convinced about that much gain though...let it pass Wink

New exhaust but original intake in my opinion Wink

Thanks for the responses chaps,
I think i will leave the intake alone but definately get a nice stainless exhaust.
Getting a new rad fitted this week at Watson Automotive as mine has ballooned and is leaking,no good for driving up country to see family this easter!
They have some rads made up with vertical bands welded into them as part of the construction which should prevent the bulging i am told, they certainly look better constructed than the Ford ones.

After some talk with some exhaust tuners we have here (in Romania) they stated that a very good calculated and not so noisy exhaust could bring around 15 - 20 horses to the cossie  Cheesy
