dials go mad

It is normally a sign of the battery being on its last legs. Check the rating is correct for the car. Hope that helps, Al

Definitely the battery,make sure you buy the right one too.Also don,t forget your radio code as you will need it when you change the battery. Roy.

mines done that only occasionly suppose it hasn,t done bad reallyas the car is still on its original ford battery,now nearly ten years old!

As it happens a couple of weaks ago mine did it The battery was changed summer last year with the correct one from ford. Strange, said I. Put it on charge over night and has been fine since. Stil got the reciept though, just in case. And I have seen bikes that do flick the neadles round as the ignition is turned on cant remeber if it was ducatti or bmw, it may have been a buell coming to think of it.

Yup...I've found that it is down to a weak battery also The only other time the dials flick around is when you start the car after messing around with the dash diagnostics
