Hi, I have read that there is a relay for the fuel pump, if this is true does anyone know where it is as all i can find in the diagrams is a fuel injector relay which i think is No 17 in the battery fusebox... thanks    crop

Yeah... starting problem hat i have posted before and rectified itself during that really cold spell we had but has reappeared, i am almost certain that its electrical as sometimes it starts at the turn of the key, others it may take 10 to 20 turns (short turns) i dont keep the starter running as thats a waste and does nothing, battery is ok,engine runs fine when started so dont think its fuel, Sometimes if i turn the ignition on and leave it for about a minute it will start but at the moment its just pot luck, only twice has it ever failed to start at all but most times even if the battery is almost drained and it turns over at 2 rpm it still starts. I have tried loads of things but still not found the culprit.    crop

crop, does the car have a battery cover and is it fitted correctly, may well be a soggy fuse box, have you got any other electrical problems?

the fule relay does get warm and some times it sticks so it may just be that

Also, have you checked the condition of the engine loom.
This in my experience has caused problems with starting, it only takes a couple of strands of this wire to short and it'll give you trouble.
