Having had my car for quite a while now, I thought that I'd discovered almost everything about it. But today, getting ready to do a Car Boot tomorrow I discovered that the seat cushion comes up, and the rear seats fold down. Only noticed it when, with my head stuck in the boot, I spotted two red catches in the top corners , and wondered what they were for. Then realised that because they had been 'locked' I hadn't realised what they did, because when you push the catches in the car, nothing happens in this position. Never knew that the saloons had this extra loading capability. Loadsa Room now!! Dead chuffed. Amazing what you can miss isn't it.......or am I just a Richard Head ?

It's brilliant isn't it. What a find. Almost an estate and a saloon in one. Might go into the Undertaking business!!

DOH ! Spannerdemon, I had you down as having a full picnic set, but I see you're a butter knife short. Mind you, I've only just found out ( after 3 years of ownership ) that the electric door mirrors return to their set position when the seat memory button is pressed.

Yeah, found enough discarded TicTacs and melted chocs under mine to keep an army obese for a decade Folding back seats were handy though, once carried a dozen 4.2m joists home in it Have a battery, fusebox and fuel tank behind the rear seats now, no hope of stuffing my local bank manager into that boot Regards, Bruce .

| Can you play it while you're driving though!! Seriously though Pete, not long ago, my wife and I travelled to Reading to collect a Technics GX5SX organ. Didn't realise that it split into two, and also didn't know about the seats (till yesterday).......................so we took our trailer all that f****ng way for nothing!!! Stuck to two lanes of the M5/M4 and a top speed of 60mph...........Aaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!

You deserve a Wallet Magnet to extract a 'proper fare' from all those drunkards that you take home.

Yeah....Thought you'd be on my case!!! I remember pressing them down when I first bought the car, and as they didn't do anything, I just assumed that they were maybe for an 'optional extra' which wasn't fitted to my own car. Never gave them a second thought until last weekend when I spotted the catches in the top right hand corners of the boot, and the penny dropped.........What a nob!! That said I have just finished repairing a Computer mainboard with new Intel BIOS chips, and THAT has been a real brain tester! My head and eyes still hurt!! Must get myself one of these BIG mains desktop magnifying lamps with a light, as my eyesight isn't getting any better even with specs!
