Hey everyone

I've let the alloys go for a while now and they really need a good clean to bring them back to sparkling again... d**n the brake dust  Sad

Do any of you have any tips on the best thing(s) to use to get them looking good again with not too much effort please? ...I'm not the most energetic person alive  Tongue heh

Thank you in advance

Autoglym do a good alloy wheel cleaner - spray on, leave a minute and wash off with brush.

Wax them afterwards to keep the build up to a minimum!

I use a worn out pan scourer, the ones with the sponge on the other side and make sure it is a cheepie and quite soft. With some warm water and car shampoo, it works a treat. It gets off all of the road kak and does the wheels no harm. my wheels are virtually unmarked so I take good care of them. You can also ues the same green scrubby thing on the chrome tail pipe, inside and out. once a week I clean the tail pipe in this way and then I give it a smear of WD to complete the job Smiley
The green scrubby thing can also be used in conjunction with WD in the engine bay and with an old toothbrush to get into the smaller areas. Wipe clean when finished and presto hey...clean engine and related bits. Never use a Karcher...you will kill the engine big time NoNo

Slightly off topic I know but for the tyres I use boot polish.
Applied exactly as you would when doing your boots.
It makes the tyres look like new without the high gloss that most of the silicone based products leave behind.
