a couple of my dashboard lights have gone out (around the rev counter), are they easy to replace, or a nightmare?

It's not that bad! I've just done mine. You need to take the dash off according to the instuctions, but there's no rocket science involved. Just some screws and some fiddling. While you have it all apart you may as well change them all to save you doing it again soon. Be prepared to spend a scary amount on bulbs though. Cost me about £30 to get them all, including the clock, heater controls and headlight switch.
