Ultima Estate alarm system questions

Got a question regarding the alarm system on my '96 Ultima Estate - it seems to have the rear side window breakage detectors fitted but lacks the 'B' post ultrasonic sensors - is this correct ?
Can these be retro fitted easily ?
My old '93 Granada Scorpio Estate had the 'B' post sensors - just wondering if they are the same ?
