I have read on the site that it cost only £20 to have a PCM software update at the members local Ford dealers. I have contacted mine in Stockport and they want £70.50!!!!!!!, has anyone got an idea of where I can get this done for the around the £20 sum?. Thanks Ajay

hi there remember this was written a few years ago and the member was lucky that the fmd only charged him for 1/2 hours labour. £70 odd is the going rate for fmd now a days. do you have some sort of issue that you think the update (for before 12/1995 cars) might fix? hth

Thanks for the reply scorpio_man there are no issues that the pcm updates need to sort out as such. Its just that I have only just got the car and want to give it some TLC.

hi there save your cash and give the car a service instead. see how it runs after that. if anything shows up, then maybe update the software (only for car built before 1996). hth
