water pump renewal!!!

Easy or hard main concern is the belt will this be an issue ? Ps i have gon e to the fault finder as well more interested in the belt side of thinhs i have a 2.0 16V

easy enough, I usually pull the belt up, push the tensioner down to slacken the tension and take the belt off. The water pump pulley will need to be removed to get the pump off but usually no problem
|

There should be five 10mm bolts (if memory serves correct) holding the water pump on & it is possible to remove it without removing the pulley wheel P.S....you don't have to go to Ford for a new water pump...believe it or not, you can buy a pattern part ......for about £45
|

You could be right Stuart It's been over a year since I replaced mine & I'm sure I didn't remove the pulley wheel until it was on the bench.... I'm sure the bolts came out using a short socket & ring spanner
