How do i take out the radio?

Good evening all.
 
Could someone help me quick!
 
How do i take out the 6000 series radio? I don“t have the tool so i need something else. I need to take it to Ford tomorrow becourse some owner in the past has changes the radio and not written down the code. So Ford has the wrong code in the system.

Hi. It's pretty hard unless you have a set of radio removal keys Wink
 
Basically just a pair of U shaped rods with a notch cut at each end to hook into the radio. you can get them from most stereo stored, shouldn't cost much.
 
You could try a pair of thin screwdrivers, do one side then the other but not easy like that Smiley

Thanks for the help! But i give up now. I have a friend at work that worked whit stereos so i had the tool at home so i will fix tomorrow.

If you have got the radio out, then if you let us know the Serial Number, which will be on the back of the set, then we can give you the Code for that radio.
 
Quite a number of us have the software to find this out for you.
 
You don't need to take it to Ford, so it might save you a bill.  Smiley
