Hi, I've come across a fuel saver kit on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FUEL-SAVER-KIT-Ford-Maverick-Explorer-Granada-Scor pio_W0QQitemZ110144682763QQihZ001QQcategoryZ122139QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem.
Do they work?
It would be fitted to a 2.5 TD

Anyway i don't think it can even be mounted on a TD.

Personally I wouldn't go there.

Most of these things come under my 'gimmick' category....despite their claims. Not impressed, and I certainly wouldn't waste MY money on them.  Wink

As the TD doesn't even have an 'ignition system', even if the gadget did as advertised (which it is almost guaranteed not to), it wouldn't work. Diesel engines fire by heat and compression, not sparks.

Edit:
If you DO want to save on the fuel bill, look into fueling it on cooking oil or similar. People who have tried it say the exhaust smell like a chip boiler, but it's a lot cheaper than diesel.

I run my TD scorp on varying ratios of cooking oil.  Slightly down on power and mpg, but also smoother and quieter engine, not to mention 'fuel' at less than 50p/ltr!
