Where is this from?

Lifted the bonnet yesterday evening, to put the battery on a trickle charger and noticed a bit of flexible rubber pipe sat on top of the battery cover. It seemed to drop just as I lifted the bonnet and it may not even be part of the car. Description is soft black thick walled rubber tube, about 12" long and around 1/2" OD, had some roughly applied white adhesive along one side of its length and the ends were rough cut. It was dark in the garage as I lifted the bonnet, so it might well have been sat on top before I lifted it - hence it may not even belong to the Scorp.

It will be the small tubes which are stuck to the underside of the plastic grille trim below the windscreen. They are about 7mm diameter and have a hole through the middle and will have a patch of glue under one side where it glues to the plastic (and then dries out and falls off) I think they sit between the screen glass and the trim to stop it squeeking. I have a few fell off over the years. Just take the cover off, few screws under the black caps and the four clips (2 each end) and re glue them Baz

That sounds to be most likely Baz, I'll take another look later - thanks to both.

Well the headlight surround rubbers are still in place and rather than round, these appear to be like a rounded T in cross section. Still can't see where it might have fitted onto the windscreen trip though.

It fits underneath the windscreen trim plate. You can't see it unless you take off the trim.
