I know the 2.0 & 2.3 have differently angled multiplug connections... But are they essentially the same part ?

JC, They have two different part numbers and I think I have read on here that the 'ports' are different. I replaced the unit on my 2ltr and initially Fordparts UK sent the 'wrong' one and ,if I recall correctly, it was configured differently. The unit is referred to as Valve Assy-Air By-Pass. The 2.3 is 1058383 and the gasket 7090339. The 2ltr is 1063996 and the gasket 7165249. Given the different gasket numbers I guess that confirms a different 'port' layout. HTH. Mike.

Thanks Mike, it was just something I was wondering Reason being is that there seems to be alot more second hand 2.0 ones available than 2.3. It would have been nice to know that the only difference was the angle of the multiplug...oh well

The valve on the 24 V is the same with the sierra and granada-scorpio (the DOHC 2.0 engine 125 bhp), as for the 2.3 if i remember correctly it's the same with the 2.9 12V
