i am a bit confused with my c.c,done a long trip yesterday (300 mls) and whilst sitting in a traffic jam on the york outer ring road with my cc on auto it was working absolutely fine keeping us all cool then it went into daft mode, i.e fan was cutting in but no air was coming out of any vents at all. i turned the control to manual fan at full speed and it was whirring away like normal but still no air out of any vents. eventually it got stuffy in the car and i opened the roof and cracked a couple of windows open. temp guage was as normal and when i got to my sis in laws at beverley i checked all underneath the bonnet, water was ok so i left it and went in for a cuppa, came out an hour later and every thing was working as it should be again, i.e all vent s throwing loads of ice cool air out, on the trip back to carlisle it done the same problem again and i,ve tried but can,t find a problem with any thing. this morning it,s working absolutely fine again . am i missing a simple answer here or is it a idiosynchrosy of the cc, i.e maybe a vent control sticking or something?incidentally cc was fully seviced by the local bosch agent last year and it had no leaks or anything untoward , i,ve had this car for nearly five years now and had no probs at all with the heating/ ventilation.(dec 98 24v ultima,67,000miles)
