I would guess it's the same as on the other petrol scorpios. It is located above the rear axle, left side iirc. You just undo a bolt, unclip the clips holding the fuel lines and it's off. Quite easy.

Yes, quite a straightforward job, keep the old plastic clips in case new ones are not provided with the replacement ( unlikely ) , be prepared for a bit of fuel spillage and remember to align the new filter as per the old one.
