Cooling water

Hi Any advice please, when I first start from cold the cooling lights comes on and stays on, I stop at the paper shop switch off, do what I have to get back in start up, no light, it is doing this each time I go out, I have checked the water level in the header tank this is fine, maybe a bad connection on the senser, where can I find this? any other Ideas. Colin

My 2.3 did exactly the same, The water level seemed fine, but my parking lot has a small incline. On a flat surface with cold water the level was a bit under minimum which was bringing the light on. When the engine heats the water increases it's volume and the light goes out

If it is similar to the Granada.... It had an hinged plastic float containing a magnet the fixed part had a magnetically operated reed switch. The hinge could become a little sticky in operation, sometimes showing a false low level.
