im planning on referbing my spare cosworth lump before the manual box gets bolted to it and the who lot shoved into the car along with the subframe off my old cossie complete with new bushes, mounts and lowering springs Smiley.

right, to the point..

1. whats the best spark plugs to use? seen a few brands but im after the good stuff, so what do people think?

2. found a place that does new igniton coils, says they are for the scorpio but also lists the newer v6 duratec engines do they use the same coil?

3. any one got a set of 10mm (quad core) HT leads fitted? there pricey but i like the look of them lol

4. i got a set of new cats from cats direct, the new units are a fair bit smaller then the old ones, anyones else got a set from there? if so what were they like?

Hi Mat,
As far as the cats were concerned I got a pair from cats direct and according to my mot man they made a huge difference in the emissions. And so they should as the old ones were empty. Cant tell you about longevity because I didnt have the car long enough.
One concern I did have was the position of the mounting brackets etc. They were close but just not close enough to make the fitting easy.
There was a fair amount of fettling needed to make them fit. But, For the price I was happy overall.

Hi mat

Which leads are they as I have been wanting to replace my leads, cat number would be a great help if pos. I rang split fire but the person I spoke to did not know which ones fitted the bob engine. I just tried to fit some bosch leads from Halfords but they are wrong.
