Stuck fuel gauge and range!

I got into the car yesterday morning for a bit of a run out and found the battery flat - so I put it on the big boost charger fo a few minutes, just long enough to get it to start. Low on fuel I then drove it round to the petrol station, just a short distance away. Rather than chance not being able to restart it, I took the rather naughty risk of leaving the engine running as I filled it up - well its so quiet no one would hear it was still running. As I drove out, I noticed the fuel gauge still showed almost empty and the computer showed little fuel range. Rather odd thought I, sort of wondering if I'd pumped nothing but air into the tank and half thinking of going back to the filling station to complain. Instead I pulled over, turned the ignition off then back on, to see the gauge and range rise to the full mark. Just another Scorp curiosity I have found

Landrover Discovery does the same, doesnt show an increase if you fill it while the ignition is on until you restart it
