Hi
I have a late 24v Cosworth that needs a water pump, but fords don't have one.

Does anybody know if I can fit the earlier one, it has a different bend in it, but how about if I change the hose as well ?.

Regards
Mark

There are firms that will replace the glands and bearings in the pump as a last resort if you cannot get a new one .... Or try doing it your self .

What's the problem getting hold of these pumps  Huh   This seems to be a long ongoing problem   Angry

Thankfully mine seems to be brand new as does the radiator or so it appeared when I bought the car ....... crickey three years ago! Now that's gone quick!   Makes me wonder whether I should order one now for stock for just in case  Undecided

The problem is Ford seem to be running out of them but if you can get your hands on one they are very expensive!

I got one from Lifestyle Europe FMD in Horsham when i was working down there about 6 weeks ago - next day delivery. 129 + vat.  Might be worth a try.

£5.00 for the water pump and a tenner for the rad.

Did you mention to him after you paid for them that he'd just saved you about £500? Now that would have been worth seeing  Grin
