battery problems

hi there, first i want to wish everybody a very good 2008 without car problems.... I however starts this year not that well..... my battery keeps dicharcing. I have put a new one in now and stil its dead when i dont drive for a day or more a am reloading the battery now but (and this is a big question for me) when i am ready with reloading and i connect the battery with the car again the 4 flash lights starts flashing and the red led on top of the dash coms on for about 5 or 10 minutes. What does this mean?

That the alarm is triggered? Try locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key. I'm almost willing to bet that the alarm horn is either disconnected or dead.
