Any ford KA experts??

my girlfriend has 1 2003 ford ka luxury, which has a engine mangament light, with the fault being the pre cat hego sensor. i have replaced the sensor but the light is still on, does anybody no if the fault code has to be cleared by computer?? (because i dont want her using my cosworth much longer)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers, Dave.

With a lot of newer cars it's a dealer ECU reset job, I'm pretty sure this is the case with the Mk3 Mondeo at least. I even got the main Jag dealer to sort it for me when I did both lambdas, only £33 . With some cars they just won't work until the ECU is reset, worth asking your FMD. Regards, Bruce.

yes will need to be cleared, try battery dis connect then re connect first, will nee radio code though.

Hi have you had the fault code read by some 1 ? if so has the fault cleared?. most cars will clear the eng man light straight away but a few take around 20 starts and runs of the car. if you have had the code read by some 1 have they tried to clear the fault ? BTW hello all
