Hi all and a Happy New Year to one and all, can anyone tell me if I can use an external battery charger to recharge the battery without disconnecting the leads from the car battery. Thanks Ashley

its not recommended although i do it Why not disconnect it? If you havent got the radio code we can give you it from the serial number on the side of the radio As long as you dont switch anything electrical on or try and start it you should be ok but you'd be safer to disconnect it

I have always charged with the battery in the car and connected to the car - never had a problem, though I only use modern controlled chargers.
