Do you mean the oil breather at the rear top of the engine that should have a pipe that goes to the back of the air filter box ?

If so, I don't think it will cause any problems with the hose missing as the head can still breath, may be a bit noisy (spluttery) though.

It's when the breather is blocked that problems can start....... & also, if the breather was removed, then you'd get oil spitting out & a lot more noise
