The guy I sold my other Scorp got back in touch with me, he had to put a new battery on and hasn't got a code for th radio. I think he needs the serial number off the set so someone can provide the code. However the owner previous to me secured it to the housing with a pop rivet through one of the 4 slots used for the removing tools for some unknown reason.
Is there a way to get the code without removing the set? And can can anyone provide the code by another means?

if you undo the 4 screws that hold the walnut dash face in place, the walnut and the radio can be pulled forward, you should be able to get you fingers behind and push the clips that hold the radio in and push it out
