Blank screen, no radio code ??

Any help on how I can get around this problem...I had to take the battery of to charge, left the ign on 
I can't find the code for the radio then realised the radio screen has always been blank...so even if one of you guys can help me with the code. I won't be able to see what I am doing as the screen is blank
Any suggestions...Thanks.

If you rub the screen vigorously with your finger for a while, then you may get something come up .....works with mine 
If you need the code, then you'll have to pull the stereo out & take a note of the serial number.
PM me with the serial number & I'll PM you back the code

Hot air gun...  I'll give that a try. I have not had time to remove the radio yet. Drove the car today and tried rubbing the screen didn't seem to work. Thanks for the advice outonmybike1. When I get the radio out over the weekend I'll PM You jonnycab.

And what if you don't have an airing cupboard?
