There are two main fuse boxes, one each side of the rear of the engine compartment by the bonnet hinges - on ALL Scorpios. Each should be fitted with clamp on covers to keep water out and the battery side has an extra cover, this later is like a plastic tray which fits on top of the battery and held in place by a threaded plastic nut. The none battery side fuse box has only the one cover, the one which clamps down on top of the box. The Granada was basically the same, except a thin loose plastic supplementary cover was supplied as a Ford field modification to help keep water out of the none battery side fuse box.

I don't think the nut is that essential - my cover tray is quite tricky to get on and off. I can't really see it falling off by itself even if the nut is missing
