Been on web, should you be able to hear or feel the ABS pump run when you first put the ignition on.

On the old Granada you could hear it pump up pressure but on the later ones, 92/95 and the scorpio it does not do this, well I have never heard it.

Have you got self levelling suspension ? The compressor makes a fair noise when in operation,but this should happen about 20 seconds after start up !
     GOZZ.

no have not got selfleveling, i am trying to get the abs working but i can not feel the pump working. abs light comes on at 15mph sensors are working bye testing with volt meter, tried another module no luke. is module also known as the controller as well.
I have obd softwere no lead yet, even software for milage correction. but abs still u s.

Not on mine it didn't, the only thing you hear is the fuel pump priming burst (buzzing/whirring noise for about 3 seconds when you switch the ignition on).
 
ABS controller (depending on the ABS you have fitted) is the black plastic box fixed to the ABS pump on the driver's side of the engine bay, which the wheel sensors etc connect to.

If you want to test if the pump works you can pull the plug & connect it direct to 12volts.
