Trip Computer N reg 2.0 ultima 16v

I put my N reg 2.0 litre Scorpio 16v Ultima in for a lot of work at my garage. I have the car back now but the trip computer on the dash will only show me the miles left with the fuel that I have. It will not show anything else temp., average miles etc etc. Is there anyone who can help me please to resolve this. The garage is 20 miles away and I would have to leave my vehicle. I only just got it back aftyer 2 and a half weeks and a bill of £881.

Try spraying a bit of switch cleaner in the buttons, it may help.
Also, try giving the unit a swift whack with the back of your hand, works for me

AS JC states it is most likely dirty contacts prise the switch out and check it is connected correctly and then give the buttons a few good presses and some switch cleaner may help .

Taking it apart & cleaning the contacts will probably sort it, but I find brutality works just as good
