Hi,
 
Not sure where I should post this...
 
Due to an upgrade to my Broadband service, I have at least temporarily lost the use of my usual email account and any mail sent to it will be bounced. Tiscali were supposed to have sorted it all out within two days, but that was over 7 days ago.
 
The point being that I am subscribed to the Scorpio email forum and I suspect that might be seeing lots of bounces (could someone check and let me know in this forum?). If it is bouncing I can only offer my apologies as this is completely beyond my control.

Our experience has been good, providing you don't need their help or nothing goes wrong. Actually trying to sort anything out with them is doomed to failure.
 
We have been asking them to sort out a service upgrade since mid December. We were on an old slow expensive package,compared to more modern offerings.
£20 for BB only.  
 
At each request they said it would be done, or couldn't be done - despite my knowing it could. £30 - worth of calls to them later and my finally blowing my top, plus threatening to leave and making complaints to the obudsman - their high level complaints dept rang and agreed to expediate it. Two weeks later and a week since it came back on, I'm still waiting for my original valued email addresses to be re-enabled. I feel another moment of extreme anger coming on Smiley  
 
For the same £20 we now have 8x the bandwidth, plus free line rental + 24/7 free UK and International calls - if only they would sort the emails out, we would be happy satisfied customers.

Take my advice ( from my ownexperiences with ISP's) Keep copies of all letters and records of all telephone calls .. ask for the log number f the call and the persons name.. keep an accurate record. At the end of three months go to the ombudsman and make a formal complaint. Ask for reasonable compesation , IF you have followed the correct procedure they will get fined and you will get it sorted out . eventually . I did takes time and patience though.

To be fair, they did give in to providing some compensation for the agravation they caused. My usual email address was reactivated about an hour ago.
 
It seems the bouncing caused the Scorpio email forum administrator to disable my account to prevent the bounces. Just waiting for that to be reactivated.
