MPG for 2.0 Ultima 16v Auto

Covered 355miles, mixture of A & B roads, fairly spirited driving
28mpg
Is this good or bad compared with others ?

Not too bad really.My old 2.0ltr didnt do much better than that,& it had only covered 33,000 miles and was genrally driven fairly gently.Best i ever managed was 34 mpg going from birmingham to bristol with the cruise control set at 60 mph.

OP, mpg sounds about right for a heavy auto. You may be able to nudge past 30mpg if you drive like a grandad!
