After changing my two part exhaust manifold ( ) ive found that the threaded part of my EGR valve is broken - has anyone ever bypassed/removed their EGR valve, and were there any untoward effects or management fault issues ? Its a 2300 DOHC, btw

I believe the EEC-V monitors EGR performance and will set a DTC if correct gas flow isn't detected. Of course, there's no warning light on the dash so it won't be obvious without an OBD-II scan! Darren
