Hi..I need some advice I need to remove the whole sunroof for exchange....the doc on the site shows x14 screws that have to be removed...on mine when "fully " open the rear x2 scews are not
"accesssible.. just under the glass edge by 1/2" ...the roof glass extends out about 1 1/2" from rear part of roof cut out
how can i get to these screws..would rather proceed working on advice then in the dark..anyone removed a sunroof who has seen this issue?

As far as I can remember the rear of the mechanism just clips in, so when you remove the accessible screws the whole lot lifts and slides forward. It's a long time since I took one out but don't remember any problems with it and was surprised at how easy it did come out.
Just get your screwdriver going and go for it....

tks for that but the pdf shows x14 screws that have to come out and I can only get to x12 the rear x2 as shown in the doc are not accessible...dont want to attack it until I am sure about those screws

tks for that ...ive just figured out how to get to those x2 rear screws..you cant get to when fully open as the fod doc says
you get x12 out with fully open roof then
you have to close roof then tilt and you can then get to the other x2
