Peter. First of all which fusebox. Drivers side (Main] or auxillary- passenger side?. The first is a pig to get out the second a lot easier. Personally I would try using an airline to get rid of a much water as possible from the 'innards' and then try warming it with a hair dryer or similar. You may get lucky and dry it out. The copper tracks run in shallow 'trenches' and water can lay in them and thus 'short' across to another track. If it was the main fuse box have you had the large plug disconnected 'cos if you haven't got it back exactly right you will get lighting problems. There are two lugs which MUST locate in the slots BEFORE you press the connector down. It will go down but it will be one row of pins out and thus give problems. The short answer is try and dry it out first..having checked that connector if it is the main box.  Wink

peterphaynes.
See under problems section, more or less what the others have said ! If the aux box is flooded the grommet behind it where the loom passes through the bulkhead must be in good order,as water usually runs inside over the ECU and CCU,thence into the footwell.

In case you are tempted to remove and clean it this may help..
If you look carefully you will see the 'channels' in the board at the back which locate the copper strips on the board below.

Having dried out the passenger (aux) box-and giving it a good spray with WD 40 still same fault---Then discovered the "repair man" who attended the car when it would not start removed the Main box large multiplug----and refitted it incorrectly (1 pin out i think) so all problems now resolved--apart from having no battery cover-never knew it was missing-have manufactured a substitute till can get hold of a real one-----Stupid Me
Thanks to all
