2.3 lockdown help

hi my 2.3 has had a problem with lockdown with wouldnt lock down thought to be electical as it doesnt bang in all other gear changes are smooth and unnoticable.
i just would like some advice to see what other 2.3 are doing at certain speeds.
30mph is 1600rpm
40mph is 2000rpm
50mph is 2500rpm
60mph is 2750rpm
mine is an estate dont know if it will make a difference any advice would be gratefully taken on board.
