Whilst undergoing the bonnet saga I noticed this the ohter day, it is the square component with the red tag sticking out. On the right side as you view it are 3 wires, one of which has the deafly green disease and rotted. It is located top right of the engine compartment as viewed from the area nere the bonnet hinge. car is 2.9 24V Question is what is the component?

If its anything like the sierras, you earth one, two or all of the wires going to the plug dependant on the type of petrol you are going to run the car on (its an ignition retard plug ) Remember that the scorp was sold in the USA and regular gas out there can be as bad as 85 RON....

Wasnt it ? Then what was the hire car that Mulder and Scully were always driving round in the X-Files with a very familiar full width rear light cluster ? I assumed that it was a scorpio... and given the americised styling, i'd have assumed it would have been a massive seller out there
