Half Wood Steering Wheel

I have an oppurtunity to purchase a half wood/leather steering wheel for my Scorp. Please see the pic below: The only problem is, i am unsure whether this is original. The few i have seen also have wood inserts on the lower half of the steering wheel. Does anyone know what is the correct spec for an original? Also, has anyone tried a Jaguar half wood/leather to see if they are interchangeable onto a Scorp? See pic below: Thanks

Hi Cheekyboy1, Thanks. £65 is the price. I wonder if the Ultima option had the lower half trimmed! Here's the one that i fancy more!

as far as i know the half wood one is the correct one for the scorp, i have never seen one with the lower half trimmed. there was a recaro version but they are very rare and not sure if that had the bottom trim. some one will probably know for sure so watch this space ps mine is for sale at £40 if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer, i may just take you up on that. Any idea if the recaro trim had any other extra trim options. very, very rare to get hold of.

The first large picture you have is of the Scorpio half wood steering wheel which came with the Recaro/Sports pack option. The picture of the steering wheel that you have with the wood also on the bottom I have never seen before but would suspect by the look of it is possibly off a Jaguar X Type. The Sports option came with the Half wood steering wheel and the Recaro seats

There was a top and bottom wood option on the Mundano MK1 or 2 as I remember. I bought one once to see if it could be adapted..... No!! Top one as Stuart says is the Scorpio one. Make sure that the one you are buting has the cruise buttons if your car does. They are very difficult to retro fit (As I found out once!!) Takes ages to do properly! Baz
