scorpio_man.
That's right, the 2.3 one fits the Galaxy as well,so is obviously popular just now,but the Cossie is indeed a seperate animal,a pity that !

Unfortunately not,as scorpio man says the 2.9 is definitely bigger, because the Cossie needs bags of wind ! Does it have to be new ? there are a fair few used ones about,no doubt Highlander has a dedicated 24v MAF shelf  Grin

Seeing as the O/D light is illuminated by the PCM because it detects an error, could it be that the PCM is causing the car to go sluggish because it has received an error code from the fully electronic autobox ?

It's all here.......http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/odlight.htm

Or it could actually be a fault in the PCM  Undecided.......I seem to remember reading that Ford do have there fair share of problematic engine management modules & the Scorpio PCMs were no exception  Smiley

well plugged the maff back in today and we had o/d flashing lumpy gear change plus put your foot down lots of revs not much power at the wheels also lost 4th gear again, unplugged the maff smooth drive home of to get new maff tomorrow, this part has a lot of influence over the whole engine, so i should have a sweet running v6 cossie power machine again soon.
