Seatbelt / Airbag warning light?

I've just swapped out the interior of my estate for a leather one, and now it's all bolted in I have this light flashing on the dash. Electrics all work ok, but I'm guessing that it's something to do with the yellow lead coming from the car that is no longer plugged in. There was no suitable connector to plug it into on the new seats..  Is there something that I have missed, or a bit of rewiring to do somewhere?

Cheers,
Ian

Ok, so I guess that means I should have taken the seatbelt stalks & electrics as well? I don't have those, and didn't think I would need them Wink ..  Is there a way to recable what I have, do you think?

You dont have the original seats etc now?

From what I understand, the seat belt catch gubbins with the pyrotechnics etc is required for your car

I think the best way would be to try and find the correct parts and fit them.
I'm not too up on airbag systems and although I'm sure they could be bypassed or "sorted" I wouldnt like them to suddenly deploy of their own accord,  or worse, NOT to deploy when they should..

I would also think unless this was done by a qualified airbag specialist your insurance company would jump on it as a "get out" in the event of any claim

No..  they were disposed of pretty quickly, due to me not having any space to store them. I guess I'm on the look out for some seat bases from an 'N' reg then...   Roll Eyes

I don't think so, but thanks anyway...  I think I would need all the electrics and the seatbelt stalks, but even then the loom seems different. My own fault for ditching the originals so quickly - to fit in with my car properly, it would need the relevant bits from the bottom of the old seats so that the connections I have from the cars loom would just click in. The connectors on the new(er) seats are quite different....

Does anyone know if this would fail an MOT due to that warning light?

There are two types of pre-tensioners one type ( THE EARLIER ONE) is a mechanical type and the latter one is electrical. all you need to do is change the pretensioners. they are held on with quite large torx bolts/screws and might require the use of an impact driver to get them started as they are well thread locked in . and then they just plug in and that should get rid of your warning light
