after fitting the automatic gearbox i found out the clutch is ruined aswell. so does anyone know a website where i can get a new one? i've checked on ebay but only found manual ones.

I'm not understanding this Wayne, you dont have a clutch in an auto box, the torque convertor does the job of the clutch.
 
Have you no drive? is that the problem?

The Torque converters are prone to stripping the internal splines, a rebuilt converter will cost you between £80 - 130 from any good auto specialist.
