Love the Scorp stereos but beginning to get fed up with limitations of six discs. Any good\recommended solutions for using iPod without having to spend a fortune?

An iTrip is a good solution, will give a good signal to the roof mounted aerial. Also a tape adapter will save power over the iTrip and only costs about £5.

Yep, the iTrip is an FM transmitter made by griffin, but there are a few on the market. A transmitter that runs from the 12v supply would be a bit better as not to drain the iPod battery too quick. The main headache with the iPod is the battery running out, with a charger here and a cable there, it all gets a bit messy!

Have tried FM transmitters and cassette adaptor in the past and not very impressed with either - usually very poor quality result. Liked Scorpiomans idea though. Not that expensive either ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=400010 786798 But then noticed same seller had these ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400008130511 Made by ... http://www.connects2.com Part No: CTAFOIPOD003 Scorpio is not listed, but most of us have the 6000 or 7000 head units don't we, so should work fine? This looks like quite an elegant solution if prepared to sacrifice the CD changer, because ... - Steering wheel controls or head unit can still be used to control playlists and track selection. - Automatically charges iPod - Avoids FM route so sound quality shouldn't suffer too much as per cassette adaptors and transmitters. - Can be hidden for security. - Should be easy fit. - Not too expensive. Anybody already tried this option? I think this is just what I was looking for and will give it a go. Thanks for the lead Scorpioman MC

I use a QDOS FM transmitter & charger with a ZEN + on my 7000 unit. Inexpensive, good sound & also let the player 'shuffle' the tracks - hours of sounds - useful for 600 mile trips. The tape option didn't work on my 7000 unit.

| Yep Forget the I-pod - overpriced dross. I have a generic 2GB mp3 player transferring through a digital cassette adaptor and im morethan happy with the results - and all for less than £25
