heated washers

Crikey....never knew the washers should be heated....mine have frozen every time I try to use them in this weather.....can anyone tell me how to tell if I have the heated ones or standard ones.....she is a 95 auto saloon....cheers

Look under the bonnet 'quilt' and you will see wires running to the washer jets if they are heated. IIRC they come on when the heated front screen button is pressed. Try that first. Just checked the handbook detail and my memory is correct. HERE

My 2.5td Ultima didn't have heated jets. mind you, it didn't have a heated screen, heated seats or a leather interior, must have been the poorest spec Ultima going It has all these now though! The wiring for the washer jets was part of the loom used for the heated screen so I'd guess that you'll only get these if you have a heated screen. Cheers Jim

| Leather was only an option in the earlier Ultimas, although it may have been changed at some point. Do you mean the front screen wasnt heated the rear is yes? I dont think the Diesels had heated front screens as standard, my two Diesel Ultimas dont anyway and one has every other option on it.

Aye my TD ultima is the same no heated screen or jets, I wouldnt say Its poorly specced mind. The MT75 and engine puts it ahead of the game Pete
