I think thta in various forms htis has been covered but to make sure I have it correct here goes.  When I bought my Scorp it has one black key only, with red chip, Now to have a full set I believe I need FMD to read my system (for lots of money) to produc a new red key, then I can have spares cut.  Correct or not as I am unhappy only having one key. Sad

Chieftain.
A decent lock place can clone your key from the chipped one,but you may have to travel a bit where you are to find one.

Not sure whats required for remastering ?  Is it a feature of the FDS2000 ? in which case... i think theres a set local to you....  Grin

Option 3 too....

I've seen several scorps in the scrapper featuring their red key of late - might be worth a look, in whch case its jsut a matter of swapping your PATS module and lockset.  Smiley

I was planning to do as Pinto suggested regarding swapping the pats module & lock set from the spares car. Worth noting that the pats unit on my TD had a different multiplug than the one on the 2.9 12V so double check before you strip everything out! you'll also need the transmitter bit that goes around the steering lock too.

Diesels will be an exception as they dont imobilise the circuits in the same was a petrol engine will - mostly they disable the stop solenoid on the diesel pump to prevent starting - thus will be wired differently

I didnt think that the PATS sensor on the column was vehicle specific ?

Unless it's a facelift scorp which has the PATS incorporated into the PCM module  Smiley
