Toying with the idea of fitting an electric seat on the passengers side (if I can source one) I have read the article on fitting, but my question is how would you go about it if this plug is not hidden under the carpet?  I have not lifted the carpet as of yet, but it does feel very flat, what area should I be looking in?

Just in front of the passenger seat there is a slit in the carpet from what I remember and the loom may well be in there, or it might actually be under the seat.

Hi Snoopy just had a look and there are only 3 leads in that area 2 go into the seat (heated seat?) and the other is yellow which I take to be part of the airbag system.

Well then I knew there were some leads there somewhere. It must be quite easy to splice into the existing electric drivers seat loom . In fact you will only need a power feed for the motors it doesn't need to have the memory function just power for the motors .

Even I could do that one and I HATE electrics

had not thought about tapping into the drivers seat, that might just be the answer, unless anyone knows why not.  No great power surge as I can see only one seat occasionally being used.  Now all I need is to source the seat.
