can anyone tell me what amp the ciggarette lighter is in the scorpio?  
thinking of buying one of those plug in heaters untill i can get my heater sorted

Don't know if it helps but the fuse covering it and the heated seats is a 20amp. Fuse 43 in the auxillary fusebox.

btw , i know this sounds stupid but how do you know if you have heated seats or not , ive got a 96 scorpio 24v cosworth , it seems to have all the extras but heated seats . were they standard or an option? sure could do mith some heat round the `arris at the moment Grin

Hi rich1 as far as heater is concernd, i bought one when my heater wasnt working, didnt even check wattage Shockedit just worked ok, i assumed as it was to plug into cig lighter it would be ok, anyway nothing blew up  Grin

As long as the heater is rated 12volt you will be OK...had to do the same recently as my heater module blew the thermal fuse....soldered a new one up and module is now as good as new. Different setup in the 24 valves so you may need a complete CC panel....good luck. Huh

yep i checked the heater and it is 12v  
i spoke to my mechanic and he thinks i just need a thermostate , so am going to order one tommorrow , but knowing how long ford take to deliver things , thought i`d get one of those plug in ones as well Smiley
