Am thinking about replacing the rear shocks on my saloon. They're not leaking, but the rear is feeling a little bouncy..... After 198K miles, I think they are probably a little tired I was thinking of fitting gas shocks, but are they really any better than the standard oil filled shocks ?....Has anyone ever replaced their rear shocks with gas ones, & did it make any difference ?

JC. I reckon a set of Monroe Ride Levellers would be right up your street,I,ve got em on all the stretchies.Kit LA 355 includes pipes gauge and valve, you could put the valve and gauge in the boot and set the level exactly were you want it using a push bike tyre pump. The last set I bought were about £180 from local factors. GOZZ.

| I didn't bother to check whether they were gas or not, I just assumed that they were oil filled Can't find anywhere on the site which confirms one or the other, so does anyone know for sure ? Gozz, those ride levellers sound interesting....will have to check if it will affect my taxi insurance & licencing conditions as it may be classed as a modification .....

| There is a guy right now selling new shockers for Scorpio saloon on ebay for 10 GBP each. Item 270340808844. It says MK1 scorpio in the title, but the seller assured me they work for the MKII as well. Would have bought, but 35 GBP for international delivery and reluctance to use normal postal services, I will have to look elsewhere.

| It pays off to check ebay, the scorpio -95 was only available on special order in Finland, most are privately imported from Germany, for me spare parts on the internet is almost standard procedure. With the delivery costs they proposed me (from Finland) it became more expensive than the local spare part dealer (47 euros for a pair). But nice to know you were able to get a pair for this ridiculously low price!
