Possibly an aftermarket alarm remote or maybe its just landed in the wrong car at some point?

check on ebay, search for ford key or fob and compare. i've never seen one like that but it may as well be an after-market one.
for example i've got a clifford alarm system with central locking that replaced the original Ford system with fobs with built-in folding/hiding keys and on both fobs it says Ford. it cost me some money to get them made and they look like original Ford product although they are not 
so even if it says Ford on the fob it may not be true
