I live very North Scotland.   I've watched this site for a little while and it has helped me a bit with a few of the usual problems regarding my new aquisition.   I got a hold of a 1998 Scopio Ultima 2.3 Auto' in dark blue.   80 thousand miles, two owners from new, full MOT tax till June.   It's a lovely car, I'm just starting to enjoy it I think!   (I decided on the Ford, or an Omega, and looked to see what would come-up) I can't find any rust on it, even the rear wheel arches are clean, there's a small 'dink' in the boot, and the usual marks for a ten year old car.   The sunroof didn't work, and there was an electric motor goosed in the boot, this lead me to believe there was no motor in the overhead console.   However, there was a new motor in the overhead console, but the roof wasn't working.   I'm not perterbed about being too much of a purist when it comes to electric or manual, so I went to the local Ford dealer and ascertained that the manual sunroof has the same fittings as the electric one.   Ergo I just changed the sunroof over to manual operation, for about £12 and now it works a treat.   I got the windy handle from a Mondeo!   I think the new overhead console cost about £12 from Ford.   The only work I have done is change the whole front brakes, change the oil, and dropped the auto-box sump off and changed the oil in it as well.   I'm just about thinking the tyres need replacing, plenty to choose from, the 225 55 Hankooks seem a good choice and only £72 to the door!   I'll fit and balance them myself.    Just thought I'd like to say thanks for providing a good site with plenty of information, and I'll bung a few quid in the pot soon.

Welcome PJ, Plenty of good info on here.
Same problem on one of mine in relation to the sunroof. However, i just used the Mondeo handle to "free" the jammed roof and re-oiled the runners .
When i was happy with the movement fitted a replacement motor and now works a treat.
Hankooks are good tyres. I have Continental 225 50's and are great.
I also have Goodyear Eagle F1's fitted to another and they do perform better but a little pricey.
