Leather interior swap

Hi folks
I've been looking at the excellent technical advice and after buying a Scorpio Ghia estate (big dog/2 kids  Wink)
I need some help!
I've picked up a mint Ultima leather interior off E-bay for 40 quid and have fitted it apart from the drivers seat,as the motors have stumped me.
How can I get the electrics to work on my Ghia?
this seat has electric fore and aft adjustment, whereas the original has just an electric backrest.
Being a complete muppet at electrical things, would it be easier to swap the sub frames,or is there a way of making the complete seat work?
Cheers,Darren.

Hi Darren, some cars have the complete loom fitted to plug the seats into although i'm not sure if they all do.

Hi Darren!

You can get your seats running quite easily.
You've got a socket with 2 wires coming out form your's Ghia floor.  [black [-] and orange-yellow[+] ]
Now there was a plug with 2 pins in your original seat. Cut it off, you're gonna need it.

In your new seat there's a plug way bigger then other plugs around it. It has 4 or 6 pins, can't remember.

Anyway, there are two wires much thicker then the other ones in it. Black [-] and orange-blue or orange [+]
Cut them off and attach to the plug from your old seat, plug them into the socket in you floor [remember about the correct polarisation] and there you go!

ps. don't worry about the other plugs and wires coming out from your new seat. they all are memory or heating related and you won't need them to get all the motors running. do like I wrote and it has to work.

if you're not sure of anything drop me a line here and post photos of your plugs and sockets so i can then give you a more detailed instruction.

rich1 leather interior for Scorpio is one of the cheapest... don't know why... i got mine in mint condition, both seats fully electric, with the armrest, door cards etc. + the loom and everything needed to plug in the heating for 120£. the only thing that needed changing were the seatbelt pretensioners; got those from my original seats Wink
