easy job. you've got plugs and screws above the pedals, quite hard to reach the screws so be prepared Wink. remove the plugs, unscrew, remove the fusebox, then rebuild and pop it back in...
my advice would be to do both fuseboxes... the aux one is very easy to remove.

Not 100% sure its the fuse box thats the prob.... but have heard about granadas/scorpios and there fuse box problems in the past, so gonna start looking there first....

the 7.5 fuses that keeps blowing are the electronics control fuses (thats what the handbook calls them anyways)

Its either number 16 or 17, whatever one is nearest to the front of the car....

The strange thing is, last summer, the heater/blower/climate control system packed up, and now, strangely, everytime the fuse blows, the aforementioned starts working again, but, as soon as I replace the fuse, they stop working again. I tried the other day, unplugging, the main plug, at the front of the fuse box, and the rear wiper started going, then stopped as soon as I plugged the plug back in, much to my amusement at the time. It was all these peculiar happenings, that led me to believe it may be a typical granada/scorpio fusebox problem.

yeah! here we go again Wink you know what i'll say here Wink i would suspect the fusebox in the first place Wink

besides it's always good to rebuild both fuseboxes and then if anything happens with the electrics in the future you can be almost certain it's not the fusebox ;P that's what i did when i bought my beauty Wink

Well that does sound like a fusebox problem, was the rear wiper running with the ignition off??

YEAH fusebox rebuild!

current score;
Highlander 1 ¦ Wojtekor 1

Ultima_Bloke don't take it like i'm happy that you need to do a fusebox rebuild, it's just that for a few weeks now we have a small competition here, between me and Highlander when it comes to diagnosing electrical problems Wink
bottom line is that i always stand behind the fusebox rebuild and Highlander seeks causes elsewhere Tongue

Yes, I like to go through the diagnosis and fault finding process, Woj just rips the fusebox out straight away! Wink

That would appear to be the correct action in this case though Wink

but it works in 90% of the cases Wink at least on the polish forum... it's 50% accuracy on this forum, i must be out of shape... or the fuseboxes for the British market where made better/higher quality then those for the continental market Tongue

Hello just add a note on the fuse box . Yeah it is pretty easy to change, a bit awkward to undo the nuts inside the car. But if i can do it anybody can. It was a frightenibg  thought changing it , but i was pleasently supprised how easy it was In fact the hardest part was trying to get the plastic webbing that goes under the box off.

I have a pair of good fuse boxes for sale, for peice of mind you could rebuild them. Swap over and then sell on your old ones for somone else to rebuild.

well it's not an exact fusebox rebuild manual/FAQ... Wink if you want it to be useful for beginners you should add some info about removing the fusebox, advice taking photos of each step not to mess up anything when putting it back... include a useful info about waterproofing the layers and the fusebox as a whole...
you know, make it a step-by-step thing about both the main and the aux fusebox...

don't take it personally, it's just my comment cause if you leave it like this you don't really give a newbie a useful manual... at least nothing better then what people get when I scream at them that they need to rebuild their fuseboxes Cheesy
