IN great FRUSTRATION

Mike. The first thing to is to check the 'pinhole' in the end of the wiper arm. Then if no water remove the wiper arm complete with connector from the wiper spindle. Watch the latter as it is a small, right angled, plastic connector which will break if you are not careful. Water is fed up through the hollow spindle in the motor and connected ,via the 90 deg connector to the rubber tubing inside the arm. Have you checked out the washer bottle as often 'crud' builds up in that and blocks the tubing at that end?.

Get one of those cans of compressed air - you can get them in Maplins or PC World - and try blowing the compressed air through the hole in the washer jet using the thin plastic tube which comes with the can, similar to the one you get with WD-40.
Worked for me  Wink

Thanks for your replies folks Smiley.  You have been very forgiving and informative  Roll Eyes.  I did expect a fair bit of ribbing, maybe that is to come  Cheesy

All is sorted now thanks.  This saga started months ago when the rear wash didn't work.  I put up with it for a while but was scared to reverse with the wipers on as all I did was scratch the rear window.

Then one fine day about a month ago I had a go at sorting it out...Disconected the rear wiper arm, poked the hole out, and gave it a go.   Huh Sludgy stuff shot out o the hole and splattered the screen and the bonnet and bumper on my other Scorp.  Gave it another go, lot's of whirring noises but no wash.  And that was the status quo till today when, after I has sussed out top from bottom, I removed the complete mechanism and gave it a good poking with a lenght of soft wire------gunge, lots of gunge, and now all is hunky-dory once again and peace reigns over the house of Nunnns  Cool Cool

Mike, That sort of 'gunge' is often caused by adding washing up liquid to the washer bottle so may be a good idea to check that out. Glad your sorted for now. Wink
